Tonight we had the final staff meeting before elections begin tomorrow morning. Over 20 campaign staff members and volunteers got together to go over how we're going to conduct business this week once voting begins at 9:00am. It's going to be all about talking to people starting tomorrow. We passed out handbills, stickers, and t-shirts, and still have thousands more to hand out over the next few days. Remember, it's as easy as visiting http://vote.uark.edu to cast your online ballot for Mattie and Andrew.
Tomorrow is the first big event of the campaign with the Official ASG Election Cookhout (sic) kicking off at 10:00am until 2:00pm. We'll be grilling out and talking to voters, with each of the candidates represented on the Union Mall.
Again, I just want to reiterate that the decision in this election is easy. Only one ticket offers a dual-threat of unchallenged qualification and superior motivation. Bookhout-LeNarz offers the UA students a continuation of the steps taken towards true shared governance under the previous administrations, and a promise of progress towards an even more powerful voice for students at the University of Arkansas. We're going to accomplish this by bolstering the ASG purpose with four platform initiatives:
Being better representatives of our constituents by effectively improving communications both within and without ASG
Providing a strong voice in the shared governance process, and holding ourselves and our appointees accountable during the year
Continuing to provide UA students with the best educational experience possible, in all areas of student life, by maximizing the services that we offer our constituents
Promoting citizenship on campus and in the greater community by actively engaging our constituents, and being a driving force for participation
Again, this is a campaign of ideas, and I'm as excited as I am to be involved in this ticket as I am thrilled to be talking to students about ASG again.
Game on.
